Dealing with the VA can be a daunting task for the un-initiated, ask any Veteran who has dealt
with them. The POST SERVICE OFFICER is your "Man on the Inside". ALL veterans will, at
some time, have dealings with the VA. From VA Home Loan assistance to service related medical
assistance, we all end up there sooner or later. The Post Service Officer may just be the most
important person in the American Legion when it comes to securing those benefits you earned
through your service.
There are pamphlets and other printed matter in the vestibule of the Post Home that outline
Benefits and services that are available through the VA. They are available to all veterans.
